Real Estate - Arizona

Those who have spent some time in Arizona have come to realize just how much the state has to offer. Some may have the impression of Arizona as one big retirement community, but in some cases that could not be any farther from the truth.

Arizona boasts two major division one universities, the University of Arizona and Arizona State University, as well as many other fine colleges scattered throughout the state. Surrounding Arizona State University in the Phoenix/Tempe area are some wonderful restaurants and the best shopping around. Nightlife is also not hard to come by as Tempe is host to a number of hip clubs, bars, and lounges. A Phoenix Suns game are also a fun way to spend a night out on the town.

Toward the northern part of the state is historic Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Those who have had a chance to gaze across the Grand Canyon understand where it got its name and why it is so famous. There are a number of historical sites along the roads of northern Arizona paying homage to the American Indian.

Much further south, beyond Phoenix by about 120 miles, is the city of Tucson. After driving across great spans of cactuses and jagged sets of mountains one arrives in Tucson, the second largest city in the state. The University of Arizona dominates the city center and adds a great atmosphere. Outside of the city are a handful of star gazing areas, cactus viewing, and historical sites.

Arizona does not fall short in the recreation department. For starters the golf resorts, mostly concentrated in the surroundings of Phoenix, are outstanding. Lake Powell is a fun getaway for a houseboat or an afternoon of wakeboarding. There are hundreds of miles of hiking trails and camp sites throughout Arizona as well.
