Real Estate - Mid-Western States
Many of the Mid-West neighborhoods offer plenty of space while maintaining a close community feel. The Heartland of America is such a wonderful place to call home because of the friendly attitudes, wide open spaces, and many attractions.
Chicago is the largest city in the Mid-West and is home to some of the best museums in the nation as well as outstanding restaurants, shopping, and art. The Museum of Science and Industry, Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, and the Adler Planetarium are just a few of the top museums located within the city limits. The Art Institute is also a popular attraction and often has some very impressive displays on hand. The city of Chicago is also home to excellent restaurants. There are some wonderful ethnic restaurants scattered throughout as well as superb steak houses and of course the famous Chicago style pizza restaurant. Bordering the city on the east side is Lake Michigan, which provides some amazing views and recreational opportunities. Toward the south end of Illinois is the capitol city of Springfield, the home of Abraham Lincoln.
There are some other great cities in the Mid-West have first-rate real estate within the city and in the suburbs. Known as the Motor City, Detroit has cleaned up the city in the last few years and is creating a great downtown feel. The birthplace of Ford is located in the southern portion of Michigan and has an interesting car museum to go along with the nation’s most productive car manufacturing sites. St. Louis is another fun city to call home. The world famous St. Louis Arch is commemorates the U.S. expansion to the West and makes for a fun afternoon trip to the top. Some of the smaller cities in the Mid-West, such as Madison or Lincoln, are home to prestigious universities giving each city a great atmosphere.
The weather in the Mid-West is far from sunny Southern California, but for some that is a good thing. The warm summers and snowy winters make for four distinct seasons all across the Mid-West. The leaves changing color in the fall and the blossoming flowers in the spring can not be matched.
